IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BELIEVE,......................

I do not know whether the hearts of the police officers involved in the transferring of Kabiru Umar (a.k.a. Kabiru Sokoto) the alleged mastermind of a Christmas Day church bombing in Madalla, Niger state, that claimed at least 44 lives, are disturbed or not by the fantasy of his escape and their conscience pricked or not by the circumstances surrounding his break away.
It is impossible to reconcile the level of preparedness of the police in terms of
ammunition and number of police officers as at when Sokoto was arrested and when he was being transferred. The police set out with Trucks loaded with police officers and ammunition to arrest the prime suspect of the Christmas day bombing.
Thus, it is impossible to believe; without wronging them and accusing their sense of loyalty and commitment to the task and alleging them of being involved in the saga surrounding his escape.
It is not possible to believe, without wronging them and accusing their sense of honesty and citizens’ reliance and alleging them of being part of the enemies of the people to which they claim they protect and promise adequate security of lives and properties.
It is impossible to believe, without wronging them and accusing their sense of patriotism and dedication to security issues in the country.
It is impossible to believe, without wronging them and accusing them of being the enemy of the law, to which they claim they enforce and abide with, arresting and maltreating innocent citizens but giving freedom to state criminals that deserve to be executed if properly tried in the court of law.
Finally, it is not possible to believe, without wronging them and accusing them of being the enemy of the Nation and that they wish to perpetuate murder and to eternalize terrorism in the country.
Kabiru Umar (a.k.a. Kabiru Sokoto), is believed to be behind the December 25 bombing of a church in the town of Madalla whose responsibility was heartily and gladly claimed by the radical Islamic sect known as  Boko Haram.
Sokoto’s disappearance is an embarrassing blow to the President and the Nigeria Police Force, taking into consideration the very high allocation that was given to security in 2012 budget. It shows a high level of incompetence on the parts of the NPF to handle high profile criminals. Rather, they concentrate their intelligence and effectiveness on collecting 20naira from commercial buses and shooting tear gas on innocent Nigerians who convene for peaceful protests. In a bid to reiterate his capability, the President on Wednesday gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to produce the missing suspect. 72 Hours after, the missing suspect is yet to be produced and nothing has been done.
On the other hand, the President, late last year, imposed state of emergency in 15 local governments, which are parts of four states in a bid to curb increasingly intensifying attacks by Boko Haram. However, despite the declaration of emergency in these states, the sect still continues to perpetrate their evil and inhuman attacks. Just yesterday, 20 January, 2012, the sect attacked the following places simultaneously in kano: (1) Nigeria Police Zone 1 Head Headquarters, On BUK Road. (2) Zaria Road Police Station On Zaria Road (3) Farm Centre Police Station At Farm Centre. (4) Passport Office Of Farm Centre (5) SSS Headquarters Gigiyu (6) Immigration Headquarters At Bompai Road (7) The AIG Zone 1 Residence At Bompai Road (8) Police State Command Headquarters At Bompai Road
As the popular saying goes, that prevention is better than cure, the initial arrest of Sokoto was with a lot of difficulties. Now that he has escaped, how easy is it going to be for the police to re-arrest him? Although the Police have promised to offer 50 million naira ($310,000/240,000 euros) for information leading to his capture but there have been raised suspicions of collusion amid long-standing allegations of links between Boko Haram members and politicians while the Nigerian Police Force is also riddled with corruption.
Sokoto was arrested last Saturday but was freed by suspected Boko Haram members who attacked the under-strength police escorts trying to transfer him. What a story so hard to believe, an attack that has neither the police officers injured or dead nor the Boko Haram members that attacked them injured nor dead.
Finally, It is indeed impossible to believe, without wronging them and accusing them of been the enemy of our peace, sustainable development and stability, they have shown to us their incompetence. And until Kabiru Umar (a.k.a. Kabiru Sokoto) is re-arrested the ultimate search goes on.

  1. Now the NPF have 50 million naira to flaunt to cover up their incompetence...what the hell. This is one of the reasons why security budget for 2012 is the highest. Money that could be used for developmental purpose. Tomorrow, we will read that the government is broke. Crap
