Sentiments Left Us With No Choice! By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

Season`s greetings to all and sundry. It`s a season of love and a time for sober reflections. A time to come together as one, to stay together and to work together for a better nation.

My sympathy goes to the citizens of Chibok community in North-Eastern part of Nigeria, most especially the abducted girls- their families, friends and loved ones. Also, to everyone that has been a victim of one form of terror or the other. They`ve been through a lot in the hands of the heartless sect- Boko Haram. It is my desire and prayers, that before the next Christmas season, Boko Haram would have been completed defeated, the Chibok Girls would have been completely rescued and Nigeria would have regained its lead roles in the continent of Africa.

Letter To Senator David Mark: It`s Either You`re For The People Or Against Them. By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

The Senate President Sir,

All due respect to your highly elevated position; the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Sir, it is with great sense of disappointment that I write you this letter. Like many others, you are among the few elder state men that I regard and respect so much in the country, not only because on your wealth of experience in leadership and politics, but also due to your manner of calmness and maturity.

President Jonathan Must Go Because Nigeria Must Survive!

You may want to ask me; what has President Jonathan done to deserve this? But I ask you what has President Jonathan done not to deserve this? And what has he done to make him stay four more years as the President of Nigeria?

11 years ago, after the 2003 general elections no one could have ever imagined that General Buhari would get such a resounding support as a presidential aspirant like he does now. And after the 2011 presidential election, majority of the people already believed that was the end of his ambition because many Nigerians believed in President Jonathan and thought he would fix the economy, fix the insecurity issues, fix the health sector, etc. Hence no need for a former military ruler- General Buhari

Like many others too, I had hoped that the election of President Goodluck Jonathan would bring about positive and valuable change of directions to the country and that he would deliver the true dividends of democracy to the people. Going by the gospel of transformation he preached during his campaign, coupled with his innocent look, most people thought he would place the interest of the nation first above personal gains. We had thought that the Messiah had come and most could not wait to give him our mandates. We dashed to the polls voted him and needed him to bring smiles on the faces of the people. So disappointing he never did! His uncaring, nonchalant, incompetent and “crimiphilic (criminals loving, having affinity for criminals, derive pleasure in pampering criminals etc) attitude never made him place the interest of the nation above personal interest.

Election 2015: The Opportunities and The Time-Bombs By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

Year 2015 has been tagged the election year, not just because of the presidential election alone but because all other elections are at stake.

Come next year- 2015, Nigerians will go to the polls to choose their leaders for the next four years. Now that a formidable opposition party- All Progressive Congress (APC) has been put in place, we might be witnessing one of the most competitive elections for the presidency since Nigeria`s democracy in 1999.

The last time we had this opportunity was 2011, and the outcome of our decisions still affects us till now. All things being equal, the opportunity to choose our leaders comes once in four years, but the outcome of our decision always for a long time remains our companion even when the elections are over.

This Is Why President Jonathan Is The Worst Elected President Since 1960 By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

Last week the presidency released a statement to hit back at the Former President- Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for scoring the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan below average.

The statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, read thus, I quote: “Our attention has been drawn to comments made by a former President of this country, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo regarding the performance of the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. We aver that Chief Obasanjo’s comments are untrue, misleading and clearly do not tally with the facts on the ground. We therefore wish to assert without equivocation that in terms of performance and achievements, no administration since 1960 when Nigeria gained independence from Britain, has done as much as that of President Jonathan. Every discerning and unbiased Nigerian will definitely attest to this fact as the evidence stare all of us in the face…..”

The Making of a Tyrant: President Goodluck Jonathan By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

“There is no crueler tyranny than that which is perpetuated under the shield of law and in the name of justice.”- Charles de Montesquieu

Plato and Aristotle define a tyrant as; "One who rules without law, looks to his own advantage rather than that of his subjects, and uses extreme and cruel tactics against his own people as well as others" and that is who President Goodluck Jonathan is!

The seeds, which produce a tyrant, like the seeds that generate other abnormal aberrations, are planted in the early life of an individual. In the case of President Goodluck Jonathan, it is not easy to assess his potential as a ruthless tyrant because of his naturally innocent and calm looking face but the actions displayed by the people working under his commands speak more of him than does his look.

Nigeria, What Else Do You Want From God By Ogundana Michael

Just recently, President Goodluck Jonathan landed in Israel for a two-day pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
According to the special program designed for him, he observed the Sabbath Day at the Wailing Wall, and after private prayers, he went to Mount Tabor and Mount Carmel and other Christian holy sites. After these, he took part in a prayer session at an Interdenominational Church Service with the topic “A Day with Jesus for Nigeria in Israel”.
High-ranking Nigerians joined him for the praying session for the Well-Being and Prosperity of the nation during the pilgrimage.
But God is not a man that he be fooled by the foolishness of men, neither is he stupid to be thrown into confusion by the unwarranted prayers of men.

President Jonathan To Sanusi: Your Offences Are Dropped Go And Be A Whistleblower No More By Ogundana Micheal

After reading this piece, kindly take a time out to pray for Nigeria and her citizens, most especially the victims of one form of terror or another. May the souls of those that have died rest in peace, while those that are hospitalized get a speedy recovery and may God grant the love ones of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.

Just within a week after the meeting between President Goodluck Jonathan and the erstwhile Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Emir of Kano; Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Department of State Security (DSS) returned the international passports it seized from the former nine months ago.

FORGET ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT`S WICKEDNESS, LET`S TALK ABOUT THE PEOPLE`S COWARDICE! By Ogundana Michael

In 2012 after the sudden increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popular called Petrol, and the reprisal protest organized by some concerned Nigerians, I wrote an article titled: “Nigerians, Peaceful or Cowardly?”.

In the article, I proved the point that; the fact that most Nigerians do not fight for their rights does not make them peaceful but that most are just cowardly to demand for justice.

I have written, read so many articles and heard so many speeches complaining about the government`s wickedness, cluelessness, selfishness, greediness and also about the high level of corruption of our leaders and lack of care towards the masses. However, you will agree with me that there are few articles that have talked about the citizens cowardice as one of the banes of the country`s developments.

Chibokgirls Release and The Ceasefire Scam! By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

It is my wish that this piece was a congratulatory and welcoming speech for the Chibok girls and a new dawn to the peaceful coexistence in Nigeria after the federal government raised our hopes in an acclaimed ceasefire with the violent sect and a possible release of the chibok girls.

After immense pressure from both local and international concerned fellows, most especially from the campaigners of the bring back our girls group, and following the need to impress the public towards getting their vote in the upcoming elections, the federal government had no choice than to prove to the people that she was indeed concerned about the release of the chibok girls, kidnapped by the violent Boko Haram sect about six months ago.

Nigeria: The Spectacular Success Story By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

Ogundana Michael Rotimi
Repeating the stories involving how the Ebola Virus Disease got into our country might not be much necessary for the message this piece is intended to pass across.
However, in summary, Nigeria had 19 cases of Ebola after an infected Liberian-American man named Patrick Sawyer flew into Lagos on 20th July 2014, and collapsed at the airport. Health care workers treating Sawyer were infected, and as it spread it ultimately killed eight people, a low number next to the thousands of cases and deaths in other countries.

Dear Buhari, Don’t Mind the Polls You Have Not Arrived! By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

As at the time you will be reading this piece, it is my uttermost desire that the Chibok Girls abducted six months ago by the violent Boko Haram sect would have been freed up. The hope for their release was brought alive on 17th October 2014 when the Federal Government, through the Nigerian military, said that it had agreed to a ceasefire deal with the ferocious sect and that the Chibok girls would be released soon. The deal was announced by the Chief of Defence Staff; Air Marshal Alex Badeh.

Nigeria: The Need For Visionary Leaders! By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

If you live in your own doubts and underestimate what men of vision can do and achieve, this quote is for you: “Some believe there is nothing one man or one woman can do against the enormous array of the world's ills -- against misery, against ignorance, or injustice and violence. Yet many of the world's great movements, of thought and action, have flowed from the work of a single man. A young monk began the Protestant reformation, a young general extended an empire from Macedonia to the borders of the earth, and a young woman reclaimed the territory of France. It was a young Italian explorer who discovered the New World, and 32 year old Thomas Jefferson who proclaimed that all men are created equal. ‘Give me a place to stand,’ said Archimedes, ‘and I will move the world.’ These men moved the world.” -Robert F. Kennedy

Mbu And His Many Controversies By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” ― George Orwell

If there is something so special and interesting about democracy that the people cherish the most it is Basic Human Rights. This includes freedom of speech that is the right to freedom of opinion and expression.

Over 14 years, Nigeria left Military dispensation and moved on to the path of democracy but it is a pity that in a democratic set up of ours where freedom of speech is meant to be protected, granted and sustained, that is where it’s been abused and bastardized.

Nigeria @54: The Great News! By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

Nigeria, so many things have been said about you. You are arguably the most controversial country on earth, only few people have said something good and great about you.

Your case is just like the case of the biblical Nazareth- can any good thing come out of Nazareth said the people, but indeed something great and awesome came out of Nazareth.

I am Jonathan and I am a mastermind! By Ogundana Michael Rotimi

You believe you know so much about me, but the truth is- you have no idea!

Most times I laugh at you whenever I quietly log on to any of the social networking sites to read one or two things you all write and say about me based on my actions in government.

Some of you write so much about me as if you were my mother.

It’s so funny the way of you talk about me as if you have an idea of who I am. But you don’t! The very few things you know about me are the lies you read over the internet especially through the social media.

NIGERIA; DESTINED TO BE RULED BY THE CORRUPTS? BY OGUNDANA MICHAEL

“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”- Plato

Every morning when I wake up from my bed and every night as I lay down to sleep, Nigeria remains the first and the last thing respectively that comes up on my mind.

It bugs me and leaves me with so much trauma and dissatisfactions to see my country being ruled with same men that have plunged our country to continuous shame and reproach out of their greed, gross selfishness and wickedness.

My Short Take On #30%Ornothing By Ogundana Michael

That you are in need of something desperately does not mean you are justified to have it from any source and by any means possible.
If you must have it, then the processes involved must be right and justified. Aside from that if you must have it; the timing must also be right and worthy.
For the past few weeks, some groups of young Nigerians have been chanting and demanding from the government thirty percent inclusion of talented and responsible young Nigerians into governance with the hash tag  #30%ORNOTHING.

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN; MY TAKE ON MALALA`S VISIT TO NIGERIA

Dear Mr. President,
Sir, it is with great sense of disappointment that I write you this letter. Like many others, I`d  hoped that your election would bring a salutary change of direction to the country and that you will deliver the true dividends of democracy to the people going by the gospel of transformation you preached during your campaign coupled with your innocent look.
Everyone had thought that the messiah has come to Nigeria and majority could not just wait to give you their mandates which they did.

MY FEARS FOR NIGERIA ESPECIALLY THE CHIBOK GIRLS

As I write this piece, a lot of things flow through my mind; it gives me fear and deprives me of my sleep. The fear as to what becomes the fate of this country especially the fate of the abducted Chibok girls in the hands of their abductors.

OUR FATHERS ARE WICKED

Have you ever heard your teacher or lecturer saying that when he/she was in school, education was not like this; it was much more organized, well coordinated and accorded with more respect than what it seems to be today! Or have u ever heard the elderly saying “during our time things were far better than they are today”. Have you ever asked why they were so then and why they are like this now? What happened to the system? What went wrong? Have you ever tried to envisage these differences that these teachers are trying to strike out? Don’t you think there is need for its rejuvenation for prosperity sake?

Nigeria once enjoyed the privilege of been a great nation where everything was next
